Yesterday was one of the best days at work! A 16 week old tiger came in for a visit. His name was Tonka. Tigers are my favorite animal-EVAH! It was so cool! The Tiger came in for a Rabies vaccine. Here are a few pics from the day!

Pita turns 5!
Pita is the oldest of my pups. We moved to Florida with some friends in 2004. According to their rules, I was not allowed to have any cats or dogs. Well, in September of 2004, I began searching for my dog. I was miserable in that house. I love my boyfriend (that is all he was then), but I 
had never NOT had a dog. Finally in October, he saw this picture on petfinder.com and said THAT is our dog. When we read the description, I knew she had to be ours. She was a two year old Shih Tzu with Epilepsy. I knew I could handle it and we could give her the home she had been looking for. So, on October 16, 2004, Pita came to live us.

She was a two year old Shih Tzu with Epilepsy. I knew I could handle it and we could give her the home she had been looking for. So, on October 16, 2004, Pita came to live us. We have been told that because her epilepsy started so early (around 10 months old), the meds could really affect her system and she might not live as long as a healthy dog. We feel that we are blessed with every day we have her and every birthday she celebrates.

Am I a loser for this?
So, here I sit at my desk, thinking about my dogs. Apparently, I am so enamoured with them that I have decided to create a blog about them. OK- so it won't really be all about them. I have several pets. I work in a vets office, so I am around all kinds and I love to talk to about them. However, my babies will be taking center stage.
